太空小故事A Space Story

很久很久以前，一团热热的气体和尘埃转啊转，中心变成了太阳，外圈的材料结成了行星。今天它们还在围着太阳跳舞。Long ago a hot cloud of gas and dust spun and spun. The center became the Sun; outer bits became planets. They still dance around the Sun today.

行星怎样转？How do they move?

一步一步看懂公转和自转。公转是围着太阳转，自转是自己转圈。Step by step: orbit (around the Sun) and spin (turning yourself).

太阳抓住大家Sun holds everyone

太阳的引力像无形的绳子，拉着行星不飞走。The Sun's gravity is an invisible rope holding planets.

公转一圈一年One orbit = one year

地球绕太阳一圈大约 365 天，就是一年。水星的“一年”短得多。Earth takes ~365 days around the Sun. Mercury’s year is much shorter.

自转带来昼夜Spin makes day/night

地球自己也在转，转到向着太阳就是白天，背着太阳就是黑夜。Earth also spins; the sunny side is day, the dark side is night.
